- 1x sheet of puff pastry
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- Handful of grated cheese
- (optional) diced ham or bacon
Allow the sheet of pastry to soften. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Spread the tomato paste across the whole sheet. At the bottom of the pastry sheet, line a row of grated cheese right along the bottom edge and place your diced bacon the same on top.
From the bottom, roll the pastry over the fillings and tuck in tightly, continuing to finish rolling. Cut into 6-8 section and place the scrolls on a greased baking tray for 20 minutes or until pastry has crisped up.
This is my go-to carb filler on those days I don’t have a fresh loaf of bread for the boys. I always have a pack of puff pastry in the freezer and only ever need one sheet at a time. When the kids are running around all day I don’t mind if they get a good tummy filler for lunch like this.
